For children and adolescents with cancer to survive as fully-functioning, productive members of society, there must be a solid partnership among the treatment and support team.

Educators are integral to the support team of caregivers and healers. Whether in the hospital, at home, or in the school, they play a key role promoting sound academic and social development as part of total care and cure. Education itself is crucial for long-term employment and quality of life.
