Educator's Website

This section for educators is to help provide an improved school and learning experience for children or adolescents who have or who have had cancer. It is crucial for them to maintain normal life experiences as much as possible.

Since school is their major "normal" activity, educators need to make every effort to continue the school experience as soon as cancer is diagnosed and throughout treatment.

Please see below for some answers to frequently asked questions for educators:

From a Teacher...

"Now that I know more about childhood cancer I know how to act with my student and how he would like to be treated. Knowing the facts helps me not worry about him so much."

From a Student...

"The things that gave me hope while I was in hospital were my want and need to be back at school with all my friends, the visits back to school that I made between treatments, and, my wanting to do many things with my life."
