Survivor Scholarship Program
The Childhood Cancer Canada Survivor Scholarship Program is available to young adults who are residents, and currently residing in Canada. The program supports post-secondary academic endeavors and recognizes the personal triumphs of exemplary students who have survived a cancer journey.
We offer TWO types of scholarships for childhood cancer survivors:
$1,500 Childhood Cancer Survivor Scholarship (one time award):
For students in any university, college, or vocational training program. Students may be in any year of their studies provided that they are enrolled in school for the fall term that the scholarships are awarded in.
$5,000 TEVA Canada Scholarship (one time award):
For up to 10 students entering (or already enrolled in) pharmacy, medicine or health science programs of study. Students may be in any year of their studies provided that they are enrolled in school for the fall term that the scholarships are awarded in.
A. Childhood Cancer Survivor Scholarship
Value: $1,500
Eligibility
Open to young adults who fit the following criteria:
- Have been treated for childhood cancer (letter required from attending physician or family doctor).
- Are residents of Canada
- Will be entering (or will be continuing enrolment) at a Canadian post-secondary institution in 2012 (confirmation of enrolment required).
- Note: If your application is successful, your name, photo, and extracts of your application letter may be posted on the Foundation website and shared with your ‘adoptive sponsor.’

B. Teva Canada Scholarship for Childhood Cancer Survivors
Many childhood cancer survivors are inspired to enter the field of health sciences (pharmacy, medicine or health care) because of their experiences. TEVA Canada Limited is proud to support their studies, knowing that, due to their life experiences, they will make extraordinary pharmacists, nurses, doctors and researchers.
Value: $5,000
Eligibility
Open to young adults who fit the following criteria:
- Have been treated for (or still in treatment for) childhood cancer (letter required from attending physician or family doctor)
- Are residents of Canada
- Will be entering (or will be continuing enrolment) at a Canadian University in 2012 in the fields of pharmacy, medicine or health sciences training.
Note: if your application is successful, name, photo and extracts of your application letter may be posted on the Foundation website and shared with your "adoptive sponsor"
Note: If you received a Childhood Cancer Survivor Scholarship for an undergraduate program prior to 2012 you are encouraged to apply for the Teva Canada Scholarship in any health-related graduate field, including pharmacy.
