Join the world's larges tvolunteer-driven fundraising efort for childhood cancer research! Sign up to participate in a St. Baldrick's head-shaving event in Canada today - or start your own! The St. Baldrick's Foundation and Childhood Cancer Canada are proud to partner to bring you this opportunity.
Funds from these events will support much-needed research at the 17 children's hospitals in Canada through the C17 Research Network. Since 2000, St. Baldrick's events have raised more than $90 million for childhood cancer research at over 3,200 events around the world.
Shavees collect pledges to stand in solidarity with kids who have cancer - most of whom don't get to choose how to style their hair today. Not ready to be bald? Support someone who is, or volunteer to help with an event!

Planning an Event is Simple
Holding a fundraising Event is as easy as 1, 2, 3
1. Pick a date - whatever works for you and your friends
2. Choose your event - you can hold your event at home, work or school. Have a get-together with friends, neighbours and colleagues
Once you have decided on your event and date download and complete an Event Application Form and begin the Registration process.
3. Send invitations - the internet makes it easy - email, Facebook or send traditional invites. Put up posters to remind people the event is coming and let everyone know it is for a very important cause. Use email, intranet, posters, press releases, local radio to generate interest and sponsorship
For help at any time please contact us at 1-800-363-1062.
Holding an Event is Fun
Leading up to the event, ask your friends for donations on your web page. In addition, you can put out a collection box during the haircutting event.
Wrap Up
After you have cleaned up all you have to do is send in the monies you have raised. You can do this online, call us with a Visa or MasterCard number or send us a cheque. Please don't forget to send us a photo of your event so we can brag about you!
If you have ponytails over 10 inches, please send the hair to Childhood Cancer Canada. Be sure to include your name and address so we can send you a thank you card. Alternatively you can send the ponytail directly to:
