I have overcome great hurdles in my life. Hours spent in waiting rooms, hospital beds and doctors’ offices have taught me one thing: the only idea that passes the time is hope. Hope for a future that is not defined by cancer. I would like to make my mark on the world without being labeled by my disease. I don’t want to be known just as a cancer survivor, but my accomplishments in my existence after cancer, an inspiration to everyday life. I am striving for a Master’s in Industrial Organizational Psychology because I want a career that I am passionate about and know this is something I will enjoy as well as excel in. I am ready for a new mental challenge and time of my life.
