At the age of eleven, my life was enlightened. Cancer caused me physical pain and forbid me from some of the activities I was most passionate about. However, I knew cancer would be a positive experience because I would take far more from cancer than it would take from me. Through my experiences at the hospital I became aware of counseling and psychology and ever since then I knew that this particular niche would be my purpose and what I would strive to achieve. For me, cancer has enforced how important it is to be selfless and to help others in any way possible, that is exactly what I intend to do with my career and my life. People often ask me if I could go back and change it all would I take away my illness. My answer to that is absolutely not. It has made me the person I am today, and has taught me to see the important things in life.
