Childhood Cancer Canada Raises Flag at Toronto and Halifax City Halls

On May 7th, 2019 Toronto and Halifax issued proclamations declaring Childhood Cancer Day. Childhood Cancer Canada staff, alongside supporters, celebrities, families and friends gathered at Toronto and Halifax City Hall for the ceremony and flag raising.

Childhood Cancer Canada VP, Fundraising, Sandi Hancox opened the ceremony in Toronto. Brock Chessell, Childhood Cancer Ambassador, shared his courageous story about his cancer journey. The Childhood Cancer kids raised the flag together to honour the momentous event. In Halifax, Childhood Cancer Canada Board Member Jonathan Saumier and Survivor Scholarship recipient Sidney Breneol attended the flag raising. We are grateful to both municipalities for their support.
