MOM SQUAD MOVEMENT!
The inaugural Mom Squad started in 2017 as a way to unite moms that have been affected by childhood cancer. They shaved their heads to raise money and awareness in support of childhood cancer research in a bold way.
We challenge everyone to donate and raise money for childhood cancer research.
Moms have the opportunity to share their childhood cancer journey and how it has affected their family. As Ambassadors of Childhood Cancer Canada, they bring attention to the critical need to save young lives.
Sisterhood of support
The Mom Squad is a sisterhood of support. Moms shave their heads as a statement of love, honour and compassion for their childhood cancer heroes so no one ever has to hear the words, "your child has cancer."
Less than 5% of cancer research funding is allocated to children's cancers. All funds raised by the Mom Squad supports childhood cancer research. The ultimate goal is to find a cure through gentler treatments that extend and enhance the lives of children with cancer across Canada.
