Our Programs

To create victories for Canadian children with cancer through investment in
national, collaborative, lifesaving research, empowering education and
community programs.

Empower Packs

Childhood Cancer Canada sends emPower Packs to families in Canada whose child is newly diagnosed with cancer. These emPower Packs provide families with information and inspiration to cope with what comes next. emPower Packs are specialized based on the child’s interest and needs.

Amazing Adventures

Amazing Adventures helps children with cancer feel stronger, empowered, and inspired to battle their illness. Every Amazing Adventure helps create joy and respite to children whose lives are filled with so much uncertainty. These adventures may include tickets to concerts, sporting events, and theatre productions, invitations to local child-focused venues, as well as inclusion in our special events provided by our generous donors.

Survivor Scholarship

The Childhood Cancer Canada Scholarship Program is open to young adult cancer survivors. Survivor Scholarships support post-secondary academic aspirations and recognize the personal triumphs of students who have survived a childhood cancer journey. We offer two programs to full-time students, the Childhood Cancer Canada Survivor Scholarship and the TEVA Canada Survivor Scholarship. The CCC Survivor Scholarship is a one-time $1,500 award toward any undergraduate program of study, while the TEVA Canada Survivor Scholarship is a one-time award of $5,000 for any post-graduate studies in the fields of pharmacy, medicine, or health sciences. Applications open on February 15, 2019, International Childhood Cancer Awareness Day, and close on April 19, 2019 at 11:59pm EST. Successful applicants will be notified by June 30, 2019. Cheques will be disbursed in September 2019 once proof of enrollment has been confirmed.

Sibling Support

When a child is diagnosed with cancer it affects the whole family. Sibling programs provide support and resources. Siblings are invited to join Amazing Adventures with their families where available and may receive items in the emPower Pack.

School Resources

Maintaining a normal school experience as much as possible is crucial for the well-being of children with cancer and their siblings. CCC school resources support educators in providing improved school and learning experiences for children affected by childhood cancer — from diagnosis and throughout treatment. More information coming soon.

Benevolent Fund

The Benevolent Fund supports families with much needed financial assistance to help cover the costs of their child’s funeral. Childhood Cancer Canada will fund up to $1000 in expenses to the family’s funeral service provider for final arrangements and memorial services.

Words cannot express how grateful I am for the CCC scholarship towards my undergraduate studies in Biomedical science.

I was diagnosed with Wilm's Tumor at the age of 5. I am now 21. The CCC Scholarship has helped me to afford transportation and has also bought the textbooks that I will use to graduate.
