As I reflect on 2024, I am deeply grateful for your unwavering support and the progress we’ve made together. This year has been one of challenges, but also remarkable resilience, success, and hope for the future.
The demand for our services grew exponentially as families navigated both economic hardships and the complexities of childhood cancer. Yet, amid these obstacles, we’ve witnessed extraordinary strength—not only from the children and families we serve but also from supporters like you, who believe in the importance of our work.
In 2024, we directly supported over 900 families through every stage of their cancer journey—from diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond. Our programs, such as the EmPower Pack, financial support, and survivor scholarships, along with our partnerships, made this possible.
Beyond the immediate support, we continue to invest in lifesaving research and clinical trials across Canada. In collaboration with our research partners, we’re focused on ensuring the most promising therapies are available to all children in need. We will not rest until we ensure no childhood is lost to cancer.
The outpouring of support was overwhelming. None of this would be possible without our generous donors and partners. We are not government-funded; we rely on the collaboration of corporations, foundations, communities, and individuals. Our events—One Golden Night, Clays for Kids, runs, cycling, and more—shone brightly, bringing people together to raise critical funds and ensure no family faces their battle alone.
The children we serve are at the heart of everything we do. Their courage, and resilience, inspire us daily, reminding us why our mission is more important than ever. We are committed to ensuring every child and family touched by childhood cancer experiences more golden moments.
We have ambitious goals for 2025 and beyond, and we hope you’ll continue to stand with us. Together, we can bring hope, healing, and a brighter future to every family impacted by childhood cancer.
With gratitude,
Angie Ramalho
