Maura Cosgrave

Director

Based in Vancouver, Canada, Maura’s introduction to the pediatric cancer world happened in 2018 when her daughter was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Her daughter’s treatment was successful, but she learned from being an inpatient oncology family the painful reality that there are too many children in Canada that need more and better treatment options. Maura is a member of Ac2orn, a parent lead Canadian pediatric oncology organization whose mission is to advocate and help the pediatric oncology research community, break down barriers and build bridges within the pediatric oncology system. She also currently leads a working group with in ACCESS (Advancing Childhood Cancer Experience & Survivorship) which looks to provide novel and innovate approaches to challenges within the Canadian Pediatric Cancer operational environment. She is a member of the British Columbia Executive Committee for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society of Canada, with a focus on pushing the pediatric agenda within the organization. Maura is also a Chartered Professional Accountant and prior to taking early retirement to be at home with her three wonderful children, Maura was a partner with the professional services firm, MNP.
