Volunteers come in all ages and we appreciate everyone who takes the time out to assist the Childhood Cancer Canada family. Volunteers under the age of 18 need consent from a parent/guardian to complete the application. Some events have different age requirements depending on the volunteer position.
You will need to commit a minimum of 60 hours per year. We ask that you commit to one shift per week for a minimum of three to four hours. We recognize that you have other commitments and occasionally have to take time off. For absences, we require you to give at least two days’ notice. For longer absences, you will need to complete and submit your vacation notice.
Childhood Cancer Canada is transparent in the volunteer selection process. Applicants who are the best qualified for certain positions will be selected. We ask that those who are selected as volunteers are considerate and follow the Volunteer Code of Conduct and Expectations.
