I am a proud mom to a childhood cancer survivor. My daughter, Sofia, bravely battled Hodgkin lymphoma at the age of 15 and has now been in remission for six years—something our family is endlessly grateful for. Sofia’s courage and determination continue to inspire me every day. She is passionate about making a difference, and after receiving support through Childhood Cancer Canada grants, her confidence soared. Today, she is pursuing a degree in the sciences and will be working at SickKids this summer in cancer research. Our family’s journey opened our eyes to the challenges children and parents face through every step of treatment and survivorship. That experience has fueled my commitment to ensuring families across Canada have the support, resources, and hope they need. Professionally, I have been part of Apotex for more than 25 years. I began my career as a Chemist in the Quality Control Laboratory and progressed through a variety of roles that deepened my knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, I led a team responsible for the successful launch of products that help ensure⁣ patients have access to affordable medicines. Today, as Vice President of Alliance Management, I focus on fostering strategic partnerships that advance Apotex’s mission of improving health and wellness. My passion for giving back is rooted in our personal journey. We were lifted by a community of support when we needed it most, and I am committed to helping other families feel that same care. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Childhood Cancer Canada Board, working alongside dedicated leaders to expand support, strengthen partnerships, and create more opportunities for children and families affected by cancer.
